Beneful® Healthy Fiesta – Misleading Commercial

Please Watch The Beneful® Healthy Fiesta Commercial Below and Then We’ll Talk

The ingredient list below is right from Purina’s website and I want you to pay attention to what they said in the video and the reality of what is in this food… Keep in mine that the first four or so ingredients are what really determines what a dog food formula is primarily based on…

Ground yellow corn, chicken by-product meal, corn gluten meal, whole wheat flour, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols (form of Vitamin E), rice flour, chicken, soy flour, water, propylene glycol, sugar, tricalcium phosphate, salt, phosphoric acid, animal digest, calcium phosphate, potassium chloride, sorbic acid (a preservative), dried carrots, dried tomatoes, avocado, calcium propionate (a preservative), choline chloride, L-Lysine monohydrochloride, added color (Yellow 5, Red, 40, Blue 2, Yellow 6), Vitamin E supplement, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, niacin, Vitamin A supplement, calcium carbonate, copper sulfate, Vitamin B-12 supplement, calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, garlic oil, pyridoxine hydrochloride, riboflavin supplement, Vitamin D-3 supplement, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), calcium iodate, folic acid, biotin, sodium selenite.

Let’s re-cap what they say in the video… “made of wholesome veggies, real chicken and even avocado…

Did they lie… NO did they mislead the public? YES BIG TIME

There are a number of good vegetables listed in the list, but they are so low on the list they are next to meaningless other than to look good printed on the package.

The real chicken listed on the list at number 7, which makes it less than important as far as the formula and the avocado that they felt the need to mention in their advertisement is number 20 on the ingredient list and means next to nothing.

Let’s look at what this formula really is… CORN! CORN GLUTEN MEAL, CHICKEN By-PRODUCT MEAL, ANIMAL FAT

Those are the ingredients that determine the major make-up of this formula, and as we can see it is corn and by-products NOTHING like what they want you to believe in the advertisement….

Does this OUTRAGE anyone other than ME? I’m sick of these companies screwing with the health of our pets by misleading advertisements… PLEASE PEOPLE educate yourself and protect your pets.
